TradeWaltz Inc., which operates the trading-related information-sharing platform known as “TradeWaltz,” is pleased to share that 11 new logistics companies and IT vendors have joined the Trade Consortium in the month following the announcement of the opening to new members on May 25, 2021, bringing the total number of members to 51.

Many applications for new members were received within a month of the announcement

 As announced in the press release last month on May 25, TradeWaltz Inc. has launched the “Consortium for Improving Efficiency and Dissemination of Trade Information Collaboration (commonly known as the Trade Consortium)” in April 2021. In preparation for the introduction of the Consortium, we started recruiting new members, and within a month we received 11 applications, bringing the total number of participating companies to 51 as of June 22.

 As of June 25, we have received applications from three new companies, bringing the total to 54. However, we have not yet received permission to publish the names of the companies, so we will announce the details in a future press release.

(Existing) Working group for legal revision of digital bills of lading

 The Trade Consortium has been discussing with the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Justice to revise the law on digital bills of lading (*1), and the content of these discussions was compiled and reported to Prime Minister Suga on June 1 by the Regulatory Reform Promotion Council of the Cabinet Office. (New) Working group for Financial Services Review

 The Trade Consortium is considering the implementation of value-added services on the financial side to TradeWaltz Inc. with an aim at collaborating with other platformers. We are pleased to announce that we have established a working group to intensively study this topic.
