TradeWaltz Inc, a Joint Venture of Seven Major Japanese Companies, Has Decided to Hire 21 Members (including those with second jobs and dual careers) Through the BizReach Platform to Promote the Implementation of Trade Digitalization – Introducing Additional Members Who Will be Responsible for Implementing Trade Digitalization, Which Will Change the World from Japan

TradeWaltz Inc., the first from Japan to aim for the digitalization of global trade Adding 21 new members.

TradeWaltz Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda, Tokyo / President & CEO, Hirohisa Kojima), which was established last year as a joint investment by seven major Japanese companies including NTT Data and Mitsubishi Corporation, held an open recruitment campaign from May 6 to June 2, 2021 on BizReach, a job-hunting platform operated by Visional Group’s BizReach Inc. (headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo / President & CEO, Yosuku Tada), that connects companies with work-ready people. 4 full-time positions and 17 part-time / collaborative positions were hired to promote our trade digitalization business.

Members from all over Japan sought to promote Japan-originated trade digitalization initiatives as side jobs and dual careers, attracting the attention of the G7
In recent years, as COVID-19 and supply chain disruptions have increased, trade digitalization has been attracting a great deal of attention around the world for the purpose of visualizing the location and distribution of essential goods and promoting remote work.
In Japan, on May 24, the Industrial Structure Council held a discussion between the public and private sectors, citing TradeWaltz as a case study (*1), and on June 1, the Council for the Promotion of Regulatory Reform in the Cabinet Office submitted a report to Prime Minister Suga on the digitalization of bills of lading (*2) in order to resolve legal issues related to the digitalization of trade.
Looking at the world, the Leaders’ declaration adopted at the G7 Cornwall Summit, which concluded on June 13, also included a revision of the Trade Electronic Law in accordance with the Model Law MLTER set forth by the United Nations, following the Ministerial Declaration of the G7 Digital and Technology Ministerial Meeting. TradeWaltz Inc., which is taking on this big theme of “global trade digitalization” from Japan, is currently run by only about 20 people who have been transferred from companies that have invested in the company, and there are not enough members to push trade digitalization in Japan and overseas governments. So, in cooperation with BizReach, a job search site specializing in workers with the skills to work immediately, we recruited members from all over Japan from May 6 to June 2.
As a result, we received applications from a total of 490 business professionals with a wealth of experience and skills, including those with second jobs or dual careers.
We would like to introduce you to the 21 members who were selected.
