The number of member companies of the Trade Consortium, for which TradeWaltz, a Trade DX promoter, serves as the secretariat, has grown to 140.

TradeWaltz Inc, which operates the trade information collaboration platform “TradeWaltz®︎” and serves as the secretariat of the “Consortium for the Efficient and Dissemination of Trade Information Collaboration” (hereinafter referred to as “Trade Consortium”), is pleased to announce that the number of member companies reached 140 companies on August 18, 2022. 

　The Trade Consortium, which started in April 2021 with a total of 40 companies, began accepting membership applications from the general public on May 21 of the same year. With the participation of trading companies, manufacturers, banks, insurance companies, logistics companies, shipping companies, IT vendors, and public institutions, the number of member companies reached 120 by May 2022. Since then, we have received applications from 20 new companies and organizations, bringing the total number of member companies to 140 as of August 18, 2022.
　Below are the 20 new member companies and existing member companies that have joined since our last press release in May.

■About Trade Consortium Activities　
　In addition to providing member companies with information on TradeWaltz, the Trade Consortium has activities in working groups (WG) on various themes. For example, Regulatory reform WG shares the opinion with the Ministry of Justice for legal revisions to electronic bills of lading. Service consideration WG sents questionnaires to member companies to ascertain the needs of companies involved in trade practices. Collaboration and demonstrations are also being discussed.

Most recently, we have been accelerating collaboration with our member companies, announcing the collaboration with Focus Systems, which offers “Beyond Thebook,” a trade management service for small and medium-sized logistics companies (*1), and the addition of Deloitte Tohmatsu Tax Corporation’s HS code search service “Trade Search” as a TradeWaltz Partner Service (*2).
