The following are the comments from a representative of TradeWaltz written in the meeting minutes

With regard to the “data linkage improvement” out of short-term objectives of the “Action Plan for Digitization in the Trade Sector” (FY2021), L/C standards are expected to be developed based on a wide range of overseas examples. To make it effective, however, it is necessary to promote PR activities, for example by providing defined standard specifications, to system vendors and companies that are about to undergo system upgrades. In addition, in the financial sector, the lack of progress in the revision of laws, such as bills of exchange has become an international issue, thus, it would be good if we can discuss this topic. Regarding a policy proposal of subsidies toward trade digitization, we would like to discuss contents steadily that are effective for those involved in trade as we promote the digitization of documents in the short term.
